Christopher Cunningham, 32, of Calwell is facing multiple charges including attempted murder and discharging a firearm at a building.
Benjamin James Moarefi, 27, was charged with aiding or abetting attempted murder.
Both men have pleaded not guilty to all counts and will proceed to trial.
The shooting took place on Saturday, March 2, in Freda Gibson Circuit in Theodore.
Police responded after reports of shots fired. A man suffered a gun shot wound and was treated by paramedics for non-life threatening injuries.
Two homes were struck by stray bullets and bullet casings were found at the scene.
Mr Cunningham was arrested after raids on a Fyshwick business and Calwell home, where police seized a .3030 calibre Winchester lever action rifle, alleged to have been used in the shooting, and Powergel branded explosive.
Mr Cunningham has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and a dangerous material, to which he has also pleaded not guilty.
Mr Moarefi was arrested several days after Mr Cunningham after he turned himself into police.
Mr Cunningham and Mr Moarefi have been remanded in custody and will appear in the Supreme Court next week to set down dates for their trials.
