For over 25 years they have been delivering a range of community-based programs and activities plus enjoyed watching the incredible transformation that this social interaction brings to people's lives - opening up doors to new friendships, learning new skills and simply having fun.
Last month, Life Without Barriers opened its new Community Centre Hub in Griffith - the first of its kind for the Australian Capital Territory and the organisation itself.
It's an exciting, vibrant place with a new approach for community engagement, which aims to break down the barriers to participation and provide more choice than ever before for the Canberrans they support to socialise and learn in a safe and positive environment.
Ric Cabrita, the ACT and South West NSW operations manager for Life Without Barriers said, "The Hub brings together all of our programs with an innovative twist - no one is left out."
The Hub builds on their immensely popular day program for people with disability by offering new 'individualised' group activities, which allow people with all levels of skill and ability to come together and share in a common interest.
It also adds opportunities for social and respite support needs for other vulnerable groups, such as older Australians.

The idea for individualised group activities came about after recognising that many of the people Life Without Barriers support have similar personal goals but they may need to take different steps to achieve them.
"We've also established strategic partnerships with allied health professionals, the Canberra Institute of Technology and local professional athletes to create activities that can easily be customised to suit individuals so everyone feels included," Mr Cabrita said.
A much anticipated activity that is earmarked to be 'sold out before it opens' is supporting Canberra's sporting teams. Life Without Barriers have partnerships with the Raiders, Brumbies and GWS for all local games.
"We Canberrans love our sport and there is a huge following for the Raiders and Brumbies, so we're planning to organise a few trips to watch them play next year," Mr Cabrita said.
The Canberra Community Hub is available for all of the people Life Without Barriers support, including children and adults with disability, older people, as well as people experiencing mental illness, and their carers.
