And it's one he knows they might not get again any time soon.
Soliola's being rested for the Green Machine's final round clash against the New Zealand Warriors at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.
It means he'll be fresh and raring to go for next weekend's first final, which will likely be against either the Melbourne Storm or the Sydney Roosters.
That final will the 33-year-old's 198th NRL game in a career that has spanned 15 years and more than 300 first grade games when you include his five-year stint in the English Super League.
It will be his third NRL finals campaign, with the 2016 preliminary final the deepest he's gone in the world's premier rugby league competition.
He's got one more year remaining on his current Raiders contract, so it's by no means his last chance.
But he knows there's no telling what the future brings, with injury and form constant unknowns.
It's a lesson he was given when he first started his career with the Sydney Roosters under current Raiders coach Ricky Stuart back in 2005.
And one he's passed on to the Green Machine's raft of young players coming through this season - Corey Horsburgh, Hudson Young, Bailey Simonsson, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Sebastian Kris.
It will also be State of Origin star Nick Cotric's first finals campaign, having burst onto the scene in 2017.
"I've got to be real with things," Soliola said.
"This could potentially be the last ride for me because you never know when your next game is or next injury is.
"I know it's cliche, but you just never know. That's something I've spoken to the group about as well.
"Especially towards the young fellas as well because I remember when I started a lot of the older heads were telling me how quick it comes.
"Twelve-thirteen years later that's generally the things that I think about coming into these games."
Soliola has been a crucial cog in the Green Machine's drive into the finals, with the energy he brings as part of the front row rotation.
He said the best educator was experience and his young teammates had been building that this season.
They've been able to win a number of close games this season - something they've struggled to do in the past - and have also produced several comebacks - including against the NRL's top sides.
Soliola felt that would be invaluable going into the finals.
"When you're getting results, whether it be ugly or pretty, what that does is generates a lot of momentum coming into the back end of the year, which you're going to have to call upon at one stage [because] you'll probably be put in the same position," he said.
