A Canberra man will front court on drug trafficking charges, after a large amount of methamphetamine was found during a police search in Belconnen.

The man, 38, was stopped by police in Aranda on Thursday night.
During a search of the man, police say they found a trafficable amount of methamphetamine on him.
Police also allege the 38-year-old was in possession of items suspected of being from the proceeds of crime.
The man was charged with drug trafficking, possessing a knife, possessing property suspected of being from the proceeds of crime and breaching parole.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday.
