Hosking easily won the bunch sprint on the second-and-final stage of the Madrid Challenge on Sunday.
It's her second win of the year, having saluted on last Saturday's stage one of the Premondiale Giro Toscana - which isn't part of the WorldTour.
Hosking was a late addition to the Australian team for the women's road race at the world championships in England, which is on September 28.
She thanked her Ale-Cipollini team for they work they did in setting up the win.
"I'm not sure you can compare this to the world championships, but for sure it gives me huge confidence," Hosking said.
"I had a really slow, tough start to the season, but I took a step back in May and June and reassessed what I wanted to do.
"I've got some OK results in the back end of the season, but to get a win I'm really proud of myself for my resilience and determination to get back to where I know I should be."
