A further 12 firefighters will be sent to help NSW Rural Fire Service crews for the next three days.
NSW fire authorities say 47 bushfires are burning across the state as of Wednesday morning, 13 of them not contained, many of them along the mid-north coast.
Despite rain along parts of the NSW coast on Tuesday, it has not been enough to extinguish the blazes.
The ACT has so far sent 61 firefighters interstate to help fight bushfires, sending nearly 30 to Queensland last week.
Firefighters sent from the ACT last week are set to return home later on Wednesday and on Thursday morning.
An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesman said the deployment of firefighters would not impact fire protection efforts in Canberra.
