Canberra born and bred Harry Saddler has been shortlisted for the University of Queensland's non-fiction award for his book The Eastern Curlew. Saddler, now living in Melbourne, studied biology and zoology at ANU but then decided to pursue writing. The winner will be announced on November 12.
