Canberrans are invited to join for sections as short as four hours including on the Centenary Trail, or for some of the more remote overnight legs when the event traces the southern border around the base of the Namadgi National Park.

The walk will showcase the beauty and diversity of the Bush Capital's boundary. Funds raised will support the Conservation Council, the peak environment organisation for Canberra and the surrounding region.

The ACT's 306-kilometre border crosses a variety of local ecosystems, from majestic alpine forests to diverse wooded and grassy lowlands. Rod Griffiths previously undertook the intrepid adventure in 2017 and although he didn't expect to, he is back walking anti-clockwise, completing a full circuit in 20 days.

"This walk can be challenging but is also very beautiful, and will allow those participating to experience parts of the ACT less travelled," Mr Griffiths said.
