The Thunder finally confirmed their Canberra BBL games on Wednesday, after The Canberra Times revealed they would play two games at Manuka back in July.
It means a super summer of Twenty20 cricket in Canberra has basically been finalised.
The Thunder will play the Adelaide Strikers at Manuka on December 21 and then return to face defending BBL champions Melbourne Renegades on January 15.
They'll also play the Melbourne Stars in the WBBL on November 27.
"Obviously it's really exciting and some really good games too," Allsopp said.
"The fact the Thunder want to play their very first home game in Canberra is a bit of a statement.
"They obviously love playing there and I think Callum Ferguson came out today delighted that they're going to be playing a couple of games in Canberra.
"The game against the Strikers will be great and then to play the reigning champions, the Renegades, in January - two really good fixtures.
"Then the girls coming to town in a month's time will be fantastic for cricket in the region."
There's also the upcoming Prime Minister's XI T20 against Sri Lanka on October 24, a men's T20 international between Australia and Pakistan on November 5, three games from the women's T20 tri-series between Australia, England and India before the women's T20 World Cup hits off.
"So it's a really, really busy program of T20 cricket and we're really excited to be hosting so many teams," Allsopp said.
"Manuka Oval's got the best white-ball record I think in all of world cricket in terms of runs scored.
"Everyone knows Manuka's a great place to bat, scores are always really high, always really entertaining fixture."
