And Fifita will have two more vital weeks in the shopfront window as he tries to dazzle at the World Cup Nines and then for the Junior Kangaroos.

Fifita is one of the last forwards to be re-signed for 2021 by the Broncos, who have already locked up Payne Haas, Tevita Pangai, Joe Ofahengaue and Matt Lodge to long-term deals.

There has been no shortage of interest in the 19-year-old, with Parramatta one club reportedly prepared to table a staggering offer worth as much as $4 million over four years.

In just 18 days' time Fifita is free to negotiate with rivals, a fact not lost on Broncos officials, who are also on the lookout for a playmaker to provide much-needed direction at the struggling powerhouse.

Fifita has already indicated his preference is to stay at Red Hill long beyond his current deal, which expires at the end of next season.

"I'll dig in for the pre-season - I still have one more year at the Broncs so we'll see what happens," he said after his impressive long-range try during the PM's XIII 52-10 blowout over Fiji.

"I just want to play footy.''

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga certainly expects Fifita to attract a handsome sum, but liked the fact he had wanted to stick solid with Brisbane.

"David is loyal, that's what I like about him, and he obviously wants to do a deal with the Broncs," Meninga said. "Who knows what his future holds. He'll command a fair bit on the market, no doubt."

Fifita made his Queensland Origin debut this year and loved the fact he pulled on the green and gold alongside his good friend and Keebra Park schoolmate Haas.

Haas, Fifita and Melbourne giant Tino Fa'asuamaleaui were the three youngest in the PM's XIII and easily the biggest. The trio stuck together all week and Roos' forwards coach Trevor Gillmeister said he had a sore neck from forever looking up.

Fifita said he loved playing alongside Haas and fellow Bronco Thomas Flegler, while the tuition from some of the game's top back-rowers was also priceless.

"I'm grateful to the coaches for picking me in these sides," Fifita said. "I'm still young and learning and it was great this week to learn from the likes of [Tyson] Frizell and [Wade] Graham, people in front of me [in Test selection]. I'll keep biding my time."

While Haas has already been included in the Test squad, Fifita was not far off his own senior call-up, Meninga said.

Just how much Fifita is worth has been hotly debated in recent months, especially as the Broncos made a point to lock down their young forward pack, except Fifita.

League legend Andrew Johns said recently Fifita was entitled to about $600,000 a season, but rival clubs will offer significantly more.

"He'll get more from clubs because they're buying on potential and potentially he could be a once-in-a-generation back-rower, which there's all signs he will be," Johns said on Channel Nine.
