Canberra sit fourth on the ladder after suffering a 2-0 loss to Melbourne on Friday, but have a chance to strengthen their finals charge with two matches remaining.
Ian Rutledge's side are looking to "put on a show" when they host the Tassie Tigers at Lyneham Hockey Centre on Sunday.
An outright victory over the cellar-dwellers could see them leapfrog the Brisbane Blaze and Adelaide Fire into second place.
"It's in our hands which is a good place to be," Rutledge said.
"The girls can be really confident in the way they've played and they've done pretty well to be sitting on ten points after playing four big programs.
"For us, it's making sure we run our systems, play effectively, have a solid attacking shape and take our chances."

Canberra have dominated the field but have been short of goals during regular time. The Chill have scored four field goals and one conversion across four matches, the third least in the competition.
"That was the unfortunate thing about Melbourne - we created a lot more chances against them but they got ahead of us on the scoreboard," Rutledge said.
"It was one of those ironies of sport where you're playing really well but don't necessarily get the win nor points."
Meanwhile, the Chill's men's side sit sixth on the ladder after falling 10-5 to Melbourne on Friday.
