Joshua Higgins, 30, is charged with murder for allegedly killing his friend, 56-year-old Jae-Ho Oh.
He has pleaded not guilty and has been in custody since his arrest.
Mr Higgins was arrested after allegedly being involved in an altercation with Mr Oh at his home in the vicinity of Hall Best Lane and Wizard Street, Gungahlin about 2am on March 11.
He was arrested in the vicinity of Mr Oh's home a short time after the alleged incident.
Police officers discovered Mr Oh with critical injuries and he died at the scene, despite attempts to resuscitate him.
The case had been significantly delayed while DNA evidence was collected and analysed to form the full brief of evidence.
Mr Higgins will appear in the Supreme Court later this month.
