"As long as he is better than John Howard," Prime Minister's XI spinner Chris Green laughs he should be alright.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison is set to be unveiled as the invitational team's 13th man for a clash with Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval on Thursday.
His commitment is just what the fixture needs as fears for another poor turnout raise questions about its place on a crowded cricket schedule.
Morrison will likely be running the drinks alongside ANU captain Dan Leerdam for a side led by Peter Siddle and Dan Christian.
And Green wouldn't mind seeing the Prime Minister have a trundle off a few steps from the pool end.
MORE CRICKET
"We'll have to test him out or get him in the nets," Green laughed.
"He's talked a lot about sport during his time as PM and we're really excited to have him as a special guest in our 13.
"That's unprecedented. I'm really looking forward to meeting him, I'm hopeful he is looking forward to the game and we can put on a show for him."
Morrison is keen to be involved having already run the drinks and a kicking tee - barefoot - for the Prime Minister's XIII rugby league team's clash with Fiji earlier this month.
Cricket Australia jumped at the chance to welcome Morrison into the fold with the move likely to bode well when it comes to negotiating future deals with the government.
