Butt, who has also been appointed as the Wests' John I Dent Cup coach, took the Brumbies reins for the first time this year.
His role will now include leading an Academy program for Super W and Wallaroos players to give the capital's best female players a chance to develop their skills.
"I'm delighted to have been re-appointed as head coach for the Brumbies Super W program for another season," Butt said.
"The new program has a more holistic approach to the women's game with a focus on the academy program as we seek to develop our own players via a recognised pathway structure within the club.
"I'm also really looking forward to working with our coaching group and am hopeful that we can continue to build on the excellent season we had in 2019 when we made finals."
Brumbies guru Laurie Fisher will act as a mentor to the women's coaching group, which also includes Ash Kara (attack) and Mick Burrows (forwards).
Butt and his coaching staff will host an open trial on November 3 in the hope of discovering new Super W talent.
