Cricket ACT will go into bat for mental health after Ginninderra fast bowler Willcox opened up on his demons last summer.
The timing is fitting after Nic Maddinson withdrew from Australia A's tour match against Pakistan to seek help with mental health issues.
Before him it was Glenn Maxwell stepping out of the national Twenty20 side. Last summer it was young gun Will Pucovski.
Cricket ACT will host an mental health awareness day at Phillip Oval on November 17 to raise funds for Lifeline.
"With so many people in the cricket community fighting their own demons in mental health, we really want to do something," Allsopp said.
"Sport has got that power to connect people and bring people together to raise awareness so we're hoping to play our part on Sunday week for the All Stars game.

"We want to get as many people on board as we can and raise some funds for Lifeline and bring people together so we can raise awareness around mental health."
The day will kick off with an All Stars game between Northside and Southside - teams featuring the region's best cricketers and a sprinkling of special guests like Canberra Raider Sam Williams, former ACT Brumby Ben Alexander, and musician Jack Biilman.
Then comes a clash between ACT Comets Old Boys, skippered by Mark Higgs, and an SCG XI led by former Australian leg-spinner Stuart MacGill.
Before the cream of the crop join forces for a good cause, Cricket ACT's premier players are locked in a battle for finals spots with one round remaining in the Gallop Cup.
Brendan Duffy's (4-15) late flurry with the ball helped Western District to a 190-run win over ANU in the Cricket ACT Gallop Cup at ANU North Oval on Saturday.
Wests player-coach Blake Dean anchored the innings with 69 from 42 balls to propel the visitors to 9-295 before the Owls were bundled out for 105.
ANU seemed as though they might give the total a shake at 0-61 before a collapse saw them lose all 10 wickets for a further 44 runs.
Across town Sam Taylor's 98 steered Weston Creek Molonglo to a four-wicket win over Queanbeyan at Stirling Oval.
Tom Vane Tempest led Tuggeranong to a four-wicket win over Ginninderra, while Eastlake beat North Canberra-Gungahlin with two balls to spare.
