It will open on the site of Dickson's new outdoor food court, Coop at Soho, and to celebrate there'll be 100 free burgers this Friday night, November 15.
As well as burgers, there'll be free food from the other onsite vendors, with 100 dumpling servings from MOMOS and 50 Peruvian fried chicken and 50 mini chancitos from Mr Papa.
Located behind the Mulberry display gallery, on the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Morphett Street, Coop at Soho is headed up by the Brodburger team, in association with local developers Art Group.
"This is the first time we've been located in the inner north," says Brodburger co-owner Joelle Brodbeck.
"We have so many loyal customers from the north side and we couldn't be more excited to be bringing our van a little closer to home,
"We've also got a number of really fun community-based events planned for the Coop at Soho like local markets, outdoor art exhibitions from local artists and so much more."
Coop at Soho is a small taste of what is to come in Art Group's Soho precinct that is set to open as the development takes shape.
Art Group's development manager Gabe Szivek said the north side has always been synonymous with community, neighbourhood and art.
"So our team wanted to provide a platform that not only enhances that to potential residents, but activates the space for locals, the team on site and shows the rest of Canberra how fantastic this area is to live in," he said.
"The activation will give residents of the inner north a small taste of what is to come in our Soho Gardens site. The entire precinct has been inspired by similar locations around the world. It is important for us to strike a balance between Canberra heritage and culture."
Coop at Soho launches November 15 from 6 pm on the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Morphett Street and will operate every Thursday-Saturday from 11.30am to 10pm and every Sunday from 11am to 5pm for the coming months.
