Cotric's manager Sam Ayoub said while they were in no rush to finalise a deal the Australian international was happy in Canberra.
Ayoub also said it was a waiting game in regards to Aidan Sezer's future.
Sezer's contracted to the Raiders for 2020, but they won't stand in his way if he finds a deal elsewhere.
English Super League club Huddersfield are expecting him to join them next season on a three-year deal, but a few things still need to fall into place before it's finalised.
Sezer's one of a number of Raiders players off-contract at the end of 2020, along with Cotric, Jack Wighton, Jarrod Croker, Joey Leilua and Sia Soliola.
They've already started talking with Croker to keep him in lime green and Furner said he would work his way through the other players over the pre-season.
"I'll probably start chatting about that. I've got a few to do, but we'll get back into it in December or January," Furner said.
"There's no timeline, no priorities. It's constant. We'll get it done and we'll get it started."
Cotric's star has continued to rise this year, making his Australian debut on top of his State of Origin debut for NSW.
Ayoub said Cotric was happy in his home town.
"Nick's contract ends on the 31st of October next year and unlike others we don't feel an urgency to even talk about his yet," he said.
"I've had that discussion with him and he's not one bit concerned about his contract. Neither am I."

Ayoub said if former Raiders winger Jordan Rapana enjoyed Japan then he'd look to extend his one-year deal with rugby union side Panasonic Wild Knights.
Otherwise he would look for other opportunities.
"At the moment he's got a one-year contract. That's all he's got in Japan. If he likes it he'll stay, if he doesn't he'll look at other opportunities and other options," Ayoub said.
"He had no offers from any NRL club, including the Raiders."
Meanwhile, Raiders second-rower John Bateman hopes more national teams travel to Papua New Guinea to play the Kumuls.
Bateman's part of the Great Britain Lions side that will face PNG at Port Moresby on Saturday, along with fellow Raiders Josh Hodgson and Elliott Whitehead.
Canberra recruit George Williams, named on an extended bench, could also come into the side for the final game of the tour.
Bateman has been blown away by the reception the Lions have had since arriving in PNG at the start of the week.
He said the locals' rugby league passion has been "eye opening".
Bateman's loved the school visits, where he's been surrounded by kids with big smiles.
"They absolutely love the sport to pieces. It's great to see. [It's] the national sport in the country," he said.
"You can tell by visiting the schools just how much they love it.
"I'd encourage as many people to get out here as possible."
It's been a big year for Bateman - winning the NRL second-rower-of-the-year and making the grand final in his first season with the Raiders.
He's hoping to finish on a high - especially given the Lions have lost all three games so far.
"We haven't won one yet so that's the aim, that's what we want to do. We want to go out on a win," Bateman said.
"It's been a pretty tough tour with us not winning, but I'd love to get this first win for GB."
