One man is in critical condition in hospital and three others are injured after an alleged stabbing in Goulburn on Friday night.

Police have charged a 29-year-old man, who is believed to be a work colleague of the critically injured man, following the alleged stabbing.
The alleged offender, who suffered lacerations to his head and was hospitalised overnight, has been charged with two counts of reckless wounding, one count of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty, police confirmed.
Police said emergency services were called to Cowper Street in Goulburn, between Addison and Mundy streets, about 9.15pm.
Senior Constable Peter Karooz said a 33-year-old man was allegedly stabbed first and called for assistance.
Two males, aged 17 and 57, came to his aid and were also allegedly stabbed.
The 57-year-old sustained stab wounds to his chest, arm and throat and was initially taken to Goulburn Base Hospital. He was later airlifted to Saint George's Hospital in Sydney and was in a serious but stable condition on Saturday morning.
The 17-year-old, who suffered a stab wound to his upper body is in a serious but stable condition, and the 33-year-old, who police said was stabbed twice in the stomach and once in the face, is in a critical but stable condition. Both men are at Canberra Hospital.
Senior Constable Karooz said the 29-year-old was released from Goulburn hospital early Saturday morning. He had been under police guard at the facility following his arrest on Friday night.
He has since been remanded in custody to appear before Goulburn Local Court on Sunday for a bail hearing.
Senior Constable Karooz said the man was receiving ongoing medical attention for his injury, and police were investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a part in the alleged stabbings.
Hume Police District crime manager Detective Chief Inspector Brendan Bernie said a third possible crime scene was also being investigated.
"We believe what's happened is the 33-year-old male was stabbed first and then several people came out to see what was happening and as a result, an altercation broke out," Detective Chief Inspector Bernie said.
"We're looking at different lines of inquiry as to what led to it. People who are best to advise us of that are injured or unable to be interviewed at this point," he said on Saturday afternoon.
He said police believed it was not a random attack - two of the victims were neighbours, and it was believed the others involved worked together.
Detective Chief Inspector Bernie thanked emergency services and the first responders for "doing a great job saving the life of the 33-year-old".
During examination of the crime scene officers from the Hume Police District seized a hunting knife to undergo forensic examination.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested but has since been released pending further inquiries.
Police are seeking the public's assistance for information relating to anything unusual in Cowper Place, Goulburn between 9pm and 9.15pm on Friday night.
