In a festive nutshell, over the next four weeks, they'll be adding three new Christmas inspired cocktails to the menu every Tuesday. These have been crafted by Bunker barmen Soumi Tannous and Simon Wotton using the very best flavours of Christmas. Think ginger, rum, cranberry, mint, cinnamon, chocolate, Christmas candy ...

They are kicking off with Santa Don't Be Late, boozy and sweet, this is a twist on a Bourbon Old Fashioned featuring a gingerbread syrup and a sparkling Christmas candy rim served with a cream brandy crisp; Choc Mint Martini, dark and decadent, Fiebre Cacao, vodka, coffee liqueur, mint; and Holiday Pash, flirty and summery and sweet. Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, passion fruit, calamansi citrus and pineapple smoked with apple and hickory wood chips.

Beirut Bunker Bar trades from 4pm until 4am Tuesday through to Friday (Saturdays from 6pm) making it the perfect destination for pre and post Christmas party revellers and of course Canberra's regular late-night cocktail crowd.

Couldn't think of a more perfect way to check out Reg Mombassa's exhibition Psychedelic Realism than this Aussie Pink Summer Afternoon.

A collaboration between Fran Marshall, of the Food and Wine Marshall, and aMBUSH Gallery, in the ANU's Kambri precinct, the event will feature art, music and 16 local rosés poured by 15 Canberra region winemakers.

The exhibition is an anthology of Mombassa's life's work. Expect to see Mambo posters and characters, suburban houses, still life, robots, landscapes, as well as sketchbooks, allowing a rare insight into the process and genius that is Mombassa.

But there will also be chilled pink wines, grazing tables laden with cheese and charcuterie, and the chance to talk to local winemakers, and learn a bit more about the delicious pink wine, how many varietals and styles we have across Canberra, and why it should be enjoyed all throughout the year.

We've been waiting to see what Louis Couttoupes' (ex-Bar Rochford) will do next. His new pop up, Kiosk, opens at the Kingston shops on December 3. Think produce driven share plates with clever twists, cos lettuce and a smoked tofu, mozzarella with fig leaf oil and green almonds, or quail and pickled cherries.

Menus are written on on two large blackboards and it's BYO for the moment (until they get their liquor license). It's open Tuesday to Saturday, walk in only, yup, no bookings, so get in anytime from 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6pm Tuesdays to Thursday.

Our former prime minister, the late Bob Hawke, would be celebrating his milestone 90th birthday on December 9 if he was still with us. To honour the late Mr Hawke, "Hawkes Legend IPA", a special limited-edition release from Hawke's Brewing Co., the beer company launched by Mr Hawke in April 2017, has been created. Only 90 kegs of Hawke's Legend IPA have been brewed, with 11 venues in Canberra set to pour the limited release from Monday, December 9 until the taps run dry.

"The word 'legend' gets thrown around a lot, but Bob Hawke was a true legend, in every sense of the word," says Nathan Lennon, co-founder of Hawke's Brewing Co.
