After five days of deliberations, the district court jury in the trial of film star Yunxiang Gao and producer Jing Wang was discharged on Wednesday.
Justice Penelope Hock on Thursday told the court a fresh trial will begin in late February.
Wang and Gao had pleaded not guilty to seven counts of rape and indecent assault related to an alleged incident inside a Sydney hotel in March 2018.
Wang had also pleaded not guilty to a further two counts each of rape and attempted rape.
