It is there he will plot Canberra's rise back up the Australian Baseball League standings as they continue their search for a maiden series win this season.
The Cavalry will return home with just one win from a tough series against the Auckland Tuatara which leaves them languishing at the bottom of the ABL standings.
Auckland secured a 4-2 victory to close out the four-match series with a third win in front of 357 at North Harbour Stadium on Sunday.
The Tuatara drew level with Canberra on four wins and eight losses at the bottom of the league's Northeast conference.
But the hosts jumped ahead of their rivals on account of their superior runs difference.
"At the end of the day it came down to execution," Ward said.

"Getting the ball into play when you need it, moving guys over when you need it, making pitches, and picking the ball up and making defensive plays when you need it.
"At the end of the day, Auckland did that really well over the last three games of the series.
"We came up short a few times, and it's something we need to address and get better at over the next few days to get ready for the next series.
"At times we swung the bats well. Over the course of each game, we probably had seven, eight, nine hits.
"Our problem is, we're just not stringing quality at-bats together, enabling us to put pressure on the pitchers and put us in a position where when we do get that hit, we can drive some runs in.
"We're just not coming up in that clutch situation."
Auckland manager Steve Mintz had plenty of reason to smile following game four - certainly much more than he did when he was ejected during Canberra's lone win of the series on Thursday night.
"To get our first New Zealand soil series win, obviously the boys are super happy with the way we bounced back," Mintz said.
"I kind of felt like we gave that first game away. That was the goal this weekend, to figure out a way to win three games. We didn't make it easy on ourselves but we came back and did it so we're super excited."
The defeat marked a frustrating way to cap off an arduous stretch for the Cavalry after coming up short in a road trip to Perth the week prior.
The Cavalry now return from a tough two-leg road trip for a fortnight on home soil against the Sydney Blue Sox and Brisbane Bandits - the Northeast conference leaders.
