Jones and his brother, Matt Jones, served a four-month suspension after being found guilty of failing to provide veterinary treatment to I Am Rocky, before the horse died from a colitis-related illness in February.

Their mother, Barbara Joseph, had her ban cut to one month following an appeal and returned to training work in September, but the Jones' suspensions held.

The stable lost approximately 10 per cent of their horses during the period and also suffered a drop in income.

The Jones brothers' absence meant the business had to pay more wages and lost additional income due to horses moving to other stables.

Jones says it will be all hands on deck when he returns to training work on Monday and is grateful for their loyal horse owners and staff members who have helped the stable through the difficult period.

"We just have to put our heads down, backside up, start training some winners and get the stable moving forward again," Jones said.

"We have to ramp up our stable a little bit, get the horses into work and get the stable running at 100 per cent capacity.

"We were down two workers with Matt and I being hands-on trainers. We had to scale that back a little bit so we didn't overload the stable and staff too much, or mum as well.

"All we can do is get out there and do our hardest to try train some winners and hope everything will correct itself."

The Joseph-Jones stable has entered maiden She's Cherry Ripe in a 1200-metre race at Wagga Wagga on Tuesday, before heading to Thoroughbred Park for a Canberra racing meeting next weekend.

The Jones brothers are preparing to attend nearly every racing meeting for the stable over the next few months to help ease the load on their staff.

"It's probably the races where the staff really had to go beyond the call," Jones said.

"They really had to dig deep and I suppose started to get very tired towards the end of it.

"Matt and I will be going to nearly every race meeting over the next couple of months and let our staff recharge their batteries.

"I'm just very grateful for the owners and our staff who have helped the stables through the tough times. They really worked hard to keep everything going for us so I hope they all get rewarded with some winners in the coming months."
