The United States import has been named in Canberra's squad to face the Western Sydney Wanderers at McKellar Park on Thursday night.
The top four clash comes days after Kurtz suffered a broken nose in Canberra's win over Adelaide on the road.
Club doctors have given Kurtz the all clear to suit up this week after she finished the 2-1 triumph over Adelaide with strapping wrapped around her head.
The 25-year-old defender is a vital inclusion for Canberra coach Heather Garriock as United brace for a clash with the unbeaten Wanderers.
"We've done our homework on them," Garriock said.

"Obviously we know how prolific they are up front, but defensively I thought we were good [against Adelaide] so that's a spoitive.
"That will only build confidence going into the Wanderers game."
A win over the resurgent Western Sydney outfit would mark Canberra's best start to a season since Garriock took the reins from Rae Dower two years ago.
It could also create a handy buffer between fourth-placed Canberra and both the Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory at the halfway point of the season.
