Five people are expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday after being charged with drug driving offences over the weekend.
There will be a combined total of 21 charges for the five people, police said.
They said a 24-year-old Calwell woman would face eight charges, including drug driving, unlicenced driving and dangerous driving. A 28-year-old man would face five charges, including failing to stop and driving without consent.
ACT Policing described the number of alleged offenders on one weekend as disheartening.
"It's a pretty ordinary result for just one weekend. These drivers were all showing a blatant disregard for their own safety, as well as that of other road users," ACT Police detective acting superintendent Marcus Boorman said.
"None of these drivers were caught at a random drug testing locations which is a reminder that random drug testing is conducted anytime and anywhere.
"Some of these drugged drivers thought it was a good idea to try driving it off. It didn't work."
