More than 20 craft brewers, cider makers, winemakers and distillers will set up in Commonwealth Place on Saturday, February 15, to share craft brews and other one-off creations.
Local breweries Capital Brewing Co and BentSpoke will be making an appearance, with BentSpoke's head brewer Richard Watkins co-hosting a cheese smith masterclass with Mike Smith from The Cheesesmith, based in the Blue Mountains.
More than just a celebration of beer, festival-goers can also expect a huge line-up of entertainment from comedy acts, roving entertainment and live music, which are all included in the ticket price.
This year's headlining music act is ARIA-award winning band Art vs Science, who have collaborated with BeerFest, Burnley Brewing and Cryer Malt to produce a one-off beer. This limited-edition summer session ale will only be available at BeerFest events. The band have also teamed up with Burnley Brewing to design the can artwork, with inspiration taken from their first album cover.
Comedy acts will include Luke Heggie, Hamish Hudson, and Emo Parsonson, hosted by Fresh Comedy's Steward Bell.
Festival goers will learn about beer and the art of brewing at a range of masterclasses and tastings led by industry leaders. The program includes sessions on "Discover the Art of Brewing with BrewArt Australia", "Get your hops off!", "Discover Sustainable Brewing with Beerfarm", "The Future of Beer with Cryer Malt" and a masterclass by Bright Brewing Co.
