Nick Cotric has been training on the Raiders right wing alongside recruit Curtis Scott.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart revealed Cotric and Scott have developed a bond off the training track as well.
Incumbent right centre Joey Leilua has yet to train with the full squad, having remained in Canberra with the Raiders rehabilitation group while the rest went to the Sunshine Coast to escape the bushfire smoke.
Scottric could replace the former right edge pairing of "Leipana" - with winger Jordan Rapana making the switch to Japanese rugby union and Leilua's future up in the air.
Leilua was given extra time off so he could get married in Samoa and will only get his first real chance to train with the main squad this week.
There's also the chance he could join the Wests Tigers, who are interested in the powerful centre having missed out on Latrell Mitchell.
Leilua's contracted to the Raiders until the end of the 2020 season, but he's been given permission to explore his options and could find a new home before the start of the upcoming season.
The Raiders have room for him in their salary cap if he decides to stay and then it will be up to Stuart to decide how he and Scott fit into the team.
Cotric's move to the right means Bailey Simonsson has been training on the left wing, alongside Raiders co-captain Jarrod Croker.
Both Cotric and Simonsson have spent a majority of the NRL career playing alongside Croker.
Whether he teams up with Scott is yet to be decided - although the former Melbourne Storm centre has had a few weeks head start on Leilua.
"They've actually become a very, very tight mates. They've got on really well together, but they're very tight." Stuart said.
"It's really good to see to be quite honest. [Cotric's] been training on the right. and finding quite a combination with Curtis at the moment."
Simonsson looks set to play left wing this year after a stunning debut season.
He played 21 NRL games last year, including the grand final, after debuting against the Gold Coast Titans in round one.
The 21-year-old quickly looked at home in the NRL since making the switch from the All Blacks Sevens program.
"He's played there before and they find the same thing [as Cotric and Scott], they've got a good combination together those boys," Stuart said.

Stuart was happy with how the 10-day camp on the Sunshine Coast went and was blown away by the support the Green Machine got up in Queensland.
About 400 turned up to great them at the Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving club - where Raiders prop Sia Soliola caught up with the lifeguard who saved his life the last time they were on the Sunshine Coast.
They also had about 1200 at their open training session on Friday.
Stuart said the camp was crucial to help build combinations within the squad, especially with new halfback George Williams.
"The amount of people that came to our open session and then also there was about 400 people who came to the surf club just to welcome the boys when we got there," he said.
"We must've had 1100 or 1200 at training on Friday. It was an unbelievable turn-up to what was a quickly organised fan session.
"Just getting 10 days together where we could get some consistent training in was so beneficial for the start of our season.
"We needed to gt some training in with some new combinations and also get some kilometres into the players' running."
