It's because he's quick. And Canberra Cavalry fans have found exactly how quick this weekend.
Not just through his base running, which caused Auckland Tuatara all sorts of problems at Narrabundah Ballpark.
But also in the outfield. He gets to balls he has no right to. Like when, with the game in the balance, he charged forward to take a diving catch. Diving Forward. Head first. At the end of the sprint.
Unfortunately officials weren't as quick in deciding whether to call the game off due to the rain that arrived Friday night but eventually they called it a draw at 7-all.
It means the Cavalry are 1.5 wins behind the Tuatara in second. And 0.5 win in front of Brisbane.
Not even 13 innings could separate the Canberra Cavalry and Auckland Tuatara. So the rain decided enough was enough.
It started out as pitching duel, with both teams' starters on top. The Cavalry' Frank Gailey got through six innings for four hits, four walks and five strikeouts, while Tuatara starter Josh Collmenter lasted seven for three hits, three walks and one punch out.
It took until extra innings for either team to even score, with the tie-break rules helping them out. But then the floodgates opened. In more ways than one.
The Tuatara took advantage of starting with runners at first and second to score three in the 10th, only to see the Cavalry do exactly the same in the bottom of the frame.
A massive Jonny Homza three-run homer made it 6-3 for Auckland, with Jared Walker making it back-to-back homers for a 7-3 lead. But the Cavalry weren't done.
Although they looked like they were when Robbie Perkins struck out - only for Tuatara catcher Bas Nooij spilling the pitch, Cavalry second-base Cam Warner scrambled home and Perkins beat the throw to first to level it.
