It bodes well for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo later in the year, where Roeger will clearly go in as favourite.
The Canberra distance runner knocked more than three minutes off the previous T46 marathon record - which he set in London last April - to finish the Houston Marathon in two hours, 19 minutes and 32 seconds on Monday.
The Paralympic gold medalist knocked three minutes off the world record in his maiden marathon in Melbourne in 2018.
He then wiped 40 seconds off that in London last year and has continued to improve.
It gives him the chance to add to the bronze medal he won at the Rio Olympics in 2016, when he finished third in the 1500 metres.
He's won silver and bronze medals at the Para worlds in the 1500m, as well as a gold in the marathon last year.
Roeger was obviously over the moon with his efforts in tough conditions.
"2:19.33 in @HoustonMarathon this morning!!!" Roeger tweeted.
"18mph winds made for tough racing but I stuck to my plan and went through half in 68.
"Tough last 7km hurt me but I left nothing out there. So much to learn in this great event."
