The 37-year-old woman made a second application for bail on Thursday, telling Acting Chief Magistrate Glenn Theakston she needed to take care of her dogs and fight an eviction notice.
She was also trying to regain custody of her five-year-old daughter, she told the court.
The woman previously said she was not guilty of assaulting her son's ex-girlfriend at the bus interchange on the afternoon of January 12. In the same incident, her 17-year-old son allegedly stabbed the girl twice and punched her in the face, the court previously heard.
On Thursday, the mother pleaded not guilty to a fresh charge of recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm, by joint commission. Her son, who is also before the courts, faces the same charge.
Neither mother nor son can be named for legal reasons.
The prosecution opposed the woman's bail application on the grounds she was likely to re-offend, and intimidate or interfere with witnesses in the case.
The mother told the court, "There's no way I've got any intention of going near [the alleged victim] ... I've got much better things to do with my time".
She said her alleged victim was "probably going to become the guilty one" as court proceedings played out, because CCTV of the incident showed she was "the one [who was] going to be assaulted".
Mr Theakston refused to bail the woman from the Alexander Maconochie Centre. He told the court, "[Police allege] the defendant essentially instigated the confrontation between herself and the young person".
Her criminal history also indicated she had a "propensity for violence", Mr Theakston said.

The mother allegedly assaulted the girl after she told her knife-wielding son to "f--- off" at the bus interchange, the court previously heard.
The woman was upset by Mr Theakston's decision not to grant her bail and asked him, "So your problem is you think I'm going to go near [the alleged victim]?"
She said she had done "so much" for the girl in the past, but was paid back with court proceedings.
"No matter what I say, me and my kids are just branded," the woman said on Thursday.
"It's bullshit, Your Honour."
The mother was remanded in custody to appear in court again next month.
