It was another step towards the Tokyo Olympic Games for the cross country mountain-bike rider, who stopped the clock in one hour, 26 minutes and 33 seconds to win the elite women's cross country title.
She finished more than a minute clear of New Zealand's second-placed Josie Wilcox, with Holly Harris third.
McConnell's husband Dan finished third in the elite men's race, one minute 40 seconds behind winner Anton Cooper.
It was Cooper's fifth consecutive Oceania crown, while McConnell now has four titles to her name.
McConnell won a bronze medal at last year's world championships in Canada in August, securing Australia a berth ot this year's Olympics.
That result and her Oceania title will have her on track to claim that spot for Tokyo, with the Games starting July 24.
It would be her third Olympics, having competed in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

McConnell hit her rock on a wheel on the opening lap and had to complete the circuit with a flat tyre before fixing the problem.
She then hunted down the field to claim the title in style.
"That was brutal. I made it incredibly hard for myself and I only had myself to blame," McConnell said.
"Even at the end when I was able to catch Josie she did not let me have the lead easily and I had to push all the way.
"I think I hit my wheel on a rock on the first lap and I thought, 'Oh no, you must be kidding me'.
"The rim slid out on every corner on the way down and I had to run that really hard climb. Bad luck and bad riding I guess.
"I love coming to Dunedin. The weather has been perfect the last two times we have come here and the course is really good.
"It is a true mountain-bike course and has a bit of everything."
