Being recognised as the most valuable player in the WNBL grand final series is great, sure. But that's not why the French point guard plays the game.
She does it for her late mother Beatrice, her father August, her teammates and coaching staff. And of course, the thousands of fans scrambling to get a photo with her.
Epoupa posted 16 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds as Canberra claimed a 71-68 championship-deciding win over Southside on Wednesday night.
It came days after she notched up 14, six and nine in game one on the road, which ultimately paved the way for the Capitals to secure a title in front of their home fans at the AIS Arena.

"We work to be the best, this one is for my parents first of all and for my team," Epoupa said.
"I am going to keep working, just because I am the MVP of the finals it's not like it's over. I am a hard worker and I want to win titles. One is not enough for me.
"Wow, I am so happy. I didn't realise we made it ... I am so happy for this team, I am so proud of this team. We worked so hard all season, we had our ups and downs, but we stayed united.
"We stayed together as a team. This is for everyone, all the members of this team, all the members of this club, and especially for the fans."
Epoupa's medal win comes after Kelsey Griffin claimed the gong last year.
