Organisers of The Canberra Times Marathon Festival have postponed the event as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
Event organisers Sole Motive have postponed the event until August.
Sole Motive chief executive Lisa Holmes said it made the decision following the federal government's advice that organised, non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people shouldn't continue after Monday.

She said marathon festival organisers had been monitoring the coronavirus outbreak closely before making the announcement on Friday.
"For us it's about the well-being, health and safety of the community, that's really important to us," Ms Holmes said.
All registered participants will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled date.
Sole Motive told participants that organisers were still finalising the new date and next steps, but would release updates soon.
It will post more updates on its webpage and Facebook event page as they become available.
