As of Wednesday, March 18 the Australian government has banned inside gatherings of 100 people or more, and outside gatherings of 500 people or more, to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
Here are the events that we are aware of that have been cancelled.
March 19
- Canberra Symphony Orchestra's Llewellyn One: Organ Symphony.
- Canberra Comedy Festival.
- All Libraries ACT and ACT Heritage Library events from today until further notice.
- The ACT Eightball Association (pool) has postponed all competitions indefinitely.
March 20
- Antiques and Collectables Fair at Albert Hall.
- Canberra Comedy Festival.
March 21
- Canberra Wine Week events have been cancelled.
- Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival.
- Multicultural Harmony Day Peace Belle Picnic at the Park, to be hopefully rescheduled in September.
- Handmade Markets at EPIC.
- Antiques and Collectables Fair at Albert Hall.
- Table in the Vines Good Food Month event at Four Winds Vineyard.
- Canberra Comedy Festival.
- Spit Shack's Croatian party in Mitchell.
- Australian Native Plants Society Canberra Region Autumn Plant Sale
- Netier National Capital Rally.
March 22
- Handmade Markets at EPIC.
- The Children Tumour Foundation Cupids undie run.
- Antiques and Collectables Fair at Albert Hall.
- Canberra Comedy Festival.
- Netier National Capital Rally.
March 23
- ACT Seniors Week, planned for March 23 to 28, has been postponed. This includes a the Chief Ministers Concert and the Seniors Expo at EPIC.
March 24
- Reid Residents' Association AGM.
March 27
- Salut! Baroque's 25th anniversary concert, Rebels, to be rescheduled later in the year.
March 28
- Cancer Council's Relay for Park, which was due to be held at AIS on March 28-29.
- Monaro Folk Society 50th anniversary celebration and Shearers Ball at Yarralumla Woolshed. It will be postponed to later in the year if the venue is available.
