The governing body's key stakeholders are set to discuss the potential make-up of any domestic competitions after Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison declared interstate travel should be avoided.
It could throw plans for an intra-conference tournament into disarray after rugby officials hoped to launch an Australian competition on April 3.
The ACT Brumbies had set their sights on a domestic tournament featuring the Western Force but the latest update in the rapidly evolving coronavirus situation could scupper those plans.
For now Brumbies assistant coach Peter Hewat insists they are running things as smoothly as they can as they wait on a date to return to play.
"Business as semi-usual here. We're looking forward to playing games," Hewat said.
"The guys know we're in an environment where we're just looking to get better every day. We're professional rugby players and coaches.
"We'll just keep looking to do the best as we can while we can."
