As essential food services, the Capital Region Farmers Market, Southside Farmers Market, Fyshwick Fresh Food Market and Belconnen Fresh Food Markets will all be open this weekend.
Social distancing of 1.5m between people is to be observed. (The Fyshwick market handily tell us that's the length of one shopping trolley).
Capital Region Farmers Market manager Sarah Power said only one person per household should attend.
"We are taking the safety of our shoppers and stallholders very seriously. We ask everyone to shop and go. Come to the market, grab your essentials and then return home," she said.
The Capital Region Farmers Market are open on Saturday from 7.30am to 11.30am, the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets are open Saturday and Sunday 7am to 5.30pm, the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets are open Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm and the Southside Farmers Markets are open on Sunday from 8am to 11.30am.
