"In terms of hail, it's less likely, it's not highly likely that we'll see large hailstones in this system."

This rain system covers the ACT and central NSW.
"There's a fairly deep trough sitting through central NSW. This is aided with a low pressure system that currently is fair way south west into the Australian bite."
"We've got a series of troughs making it very unstable through today and tomorrow, " she said.
Strong winds on Saturday is expected to see the rain clear up.
However Canberrans can expect colder minimum temperatures during next week.
"Saturday night will see the colder front come through and that would bring some fairly strong westerly winds" She said.
"You'll start to see things clearing up after it comes through.
"Once we get past these two two days of this moist storm air mass, it will start to get quite cool."
