ACT Policing said a Ford Falcon was taken from outside a home during a burglary on Tuesday, March 24.
In it was the three-wheel stroller which is used to move a child with special needs.
The police said they want anyone who knows anything about the crime or the whereabouts of the stroller to get in touch.
They didn't say they hope the stroller could be just left somewhere convenient to be found but that may also be welcome.
It is a special piece of equipment which can't be easily replaced and without it a very small child is in difficulty.
The police statement said: "On Tuesday, 24 March 2020, a burglary occurred at a residence in Weetangera where a blue Ford Falcon station wagon (registration YJP-66G) was stolen. In the vehicle was a large blue three-wheel stroller used to move a child with special needs.
"Police are seeking community assistance to locate the custom made stroller as it cannot be not easily replaced."
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stroller or has any information relating to the burglary is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6513306. Information can be provided anonymously.
