The ACT government has announced changes to waste collection and public transport during the Easter holiday.

These changes are unrelated to COVID-19.
Friday bin collections will happen on the Saturday, April 11, as all waste facilities will be closed on Good Friday, April 10.
This includes general waste, recycling and green bin coleections.
Bins need to be out by 5am on Saturday morning to be collected.
Bin collections will resume to normal on Monday, April 13.
Bus and light rail services will continue over the long weekend.

Buses on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday will run on the Sunday timetable.
Buses on Saturday, April 11 will run on a Saturday timetable as normal.
Light rail services from Friday to Monday will run on a Sunday frequency.
Bus and light rail services will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 14.
Canberrans are urged to not take any unnecessary travel during the Easter holidays.
People travelling on any public transport during this time must use a MyWay card or a pre-purchased ticket.
Buses will not accept cash payments indefinitely due to COVID-19 measures.
