M16 applications
M16 is seeking applications for the tenancy of the Lightbox Studio, small spaces suitable for jewellers and small-scale makers. Both Studio 1 and 2 will be available from June 16, 2020. Monthly rent for each studio is currently under rent relief of $117 a month but will return to the normal rate of $195 a month as of the end of September. These costs include GST, water and electricity. The M16 studios are open during the current COVID-19 social distancing measures as each studio is a contained workspace. ASQ Anthology
Over the course of this year, and into the future, the Australian String Quartet will release new recordings of string quartets by contemporary Australian composers for streaming and purchase through major digital platforms including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, GooglePlay, YouTube and more. The first is Melbourne composer Joe Chindamo's String Quartet No 1, Tempesta, with Paul Stanhope's String Quartet No 2. Future releases will include works by Nigel Westlake, Dr Lou Bennett, Kate Moore, William Barton, Anne Cawrse, Ross Edwards, James Ledger, and others. See: asq.com.au.

Reflections by ANCA studio artist Rowan Kane is a solo digital exhibition featuring a suite of narrative-based oil paintings which probe at cultural values and how they adapt and change with a city's evolution. Budding Challenge
The Budding Theatre Challenge is a free (to participate in or watch) activity for everyone. Participants respond to a weekly challenge by making a thematically appropriate one-minute video. Entries each week will be broadcast on Sunday at 6pm on the Budding Theatre Facebook page and previous videos can also be viewed. More information: buddingtheatre.com/challenge.
Creative Stars
Also from Budding Theatre is the Creative Stars - Inspiration Series course which will be held via Zoom over three weeks starting on Sunday, May 10 at 3pm. It includes musical theatre stars, singer-songwriters, playwrights, TV actors, dancers and composers. It is open to everyone; it is especially suitable for teen performers and early career adults interested in or actively pursuing a creative career in the arts. Cost is from $250.
