Just weeks after Service Australia's computer systems struggled to cope with a huge spike in demand from hundreds of thousands of laid-off workers, the Australian Public Service Commission has detailed its plan to recruit and foster digital professionals.
"The profession aims to ensure government has the right skills to deliver world-leading digital services...by attracting, retaining, developing and deploying people with digital skills," the APSC said, identifying cloud computing as one of the areas of critical need.
