Capital Brewing Co has responded to the easing of social distancing restrictions by allowing groups of 10 to have the brewery to themselves for two hours, the sessions proving to be wildly popular.

Capital Brewing Co's managing director Laurence Kain said the weekend sessions at the Fyshwick site had been selling out within 30 minutes. The sessions cost $45 per person, which includes a tasting paddle.
"One group were having such a good time, they offered the group after them $1000 to continue their booking," Mr Kain said.
The sessions are sold out until June, by which time it was expected restrictions may have eased further to allow 20 people into a venue. Bookings will then open for 20 people at a time.
The venue has a licensed capacity of 998 people in non-virus times.
Mr Kain said it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for 10 or even 20 people to have the brewery to themselves.
"We've let patrons take over the stereo and every seat is next to the fire," he said.
"The small numbers have also resulted in a much more intimate experience, with bar staff able to talk at length about each of the beers, and offer guided tastings."
Whether social distancing guidelines are eased further or not, the Capital team was "looking at the positives".

Future ticket releases will be announced on Capital's website and social media channels (Instagram and Facebook)and patrons keen for a unique brewery experience are advised to "get in quick".
