Mr Parton agreed to withdraw the comments, but was kicked out of the Legislative Assembly for three hours on Thursday after refusing to remove a video.

Ms Burch emailed members on Tuesday reminding them they must get approval to take photos or video within the Assembly, and any images must not be used for electioneering.

It was in reference to one of Mr Parton's TikTok videos which filmed a portrait of former Labor chief minister Jon Stanhope located inside the ACT Legislative Assembly.

Ms Burch said he used the video to amplify his comments that Mr Stanhope supported the Liberals' election pledge to plant one million trees.

After receiving Ms Burch's email, Mr Parton then posted another TikTok video which questioned the speaker's impartiality and suggested she was "opposed to democracy", according to the speaker.

"In my view using the photographs of the assembly facilities to promote a Liberal party election policy is clearly in breach of [Assembly guidelines]," Ms Burch told the Assembly on Thursday.

"I would remind members there is an election in October this year and there may be over 100 candidates seeking to be elected to this place.

"None of those candidates will be able to use the Assembly facilities to further their election campaign."

Mr Parton agreed to remove the video that was filmed inside the Assembly. However he initially refused to remove the second video titled "don't destroy democracy".

But by Thursday afternoon, Mr Parton said he would remove the video by the end of the day.

"We've made the decision that there are much more important things to be spending time on," he said.

"I will comply with the speaker's decision and remove [the video] before 5pm.

"I don't want to reflect on the speaker's decision ... but I'm dismayed as an Assembly we've wasted so much time discussing this issue."

He said some of the Assembly regulations banning video in the chamber were outdated, and believe they would be changed at some point.

Mr Parton won't be taking a break from Tik Tok however, saying his videos have reached tens of thousands of people over the past week.
