Police allege a Hackett woman, 27, ran a red light in Fyshwick around 12.35am Wednesday and failed to stop when police attempted to pull the car over.
Police followed the white Peugeot to Dairy Flat Rd where they attempted to pull over the driver.
Road spikes were deployed on Newcastle St but the driver continued along Canberra Avenue before stopping in Griffith.
The woman was charged with several offences including dangerous driving, driving while under the influence of drugs, driving without a licence, failing to stop for police and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
Further investigation also led to police laying further drug possession charges in addition to charges relating to the possession of a prohibited weapon.
