It's the third time in recent weeks a new 'deadliest day' has been recorded.
The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services revealed this morning 322 new cases of COVID-19 had been detected in the state in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday was the state's second worst day for deaths with 17 more fatalities across the state and 394 new cases. The previous highest daily death toll was 15 fatalities on August 5.
