The Tigers were tough in victory, with a great team effort all over the ground to take the win 8.7 (55) to 6.4 (40) at Alan Ray Oval.
Ruckman Tom Stapleton kept his great season going, dominating the ruck battle and giving his midfielders first use throughout the game.
Queanbeyan coach Adrian Pavese was pleased with the response after the tough loss to Belconnen last week.
"The response was fantastic today," he said. "To lose that game last week at the death, and then not be able to train Tuesday because of the weather. We had a bit of a wait a bit of a wait to get back on the footy's so it was outstanding."
Queanbeyan hit the lead early with goals from Anthony Lo Pilato and Rhys Pollock, but Ainslie's co-captain Henry Delves steadied the ship with one of his own.
The Delves goal was Ainslie's only for the quarter, despite much of the first quarter being played in their forward half.
Whenever it seemed like Queanbeyan would break the game open, the Tricolours would fight back, keeping the lead to a manageable 14 points at half-time.
Hayden Armstrong and Luke Crocker fought hard against the Queanbeyan defence, with Crocker kicking a goal to give Ainslie a sniff heading into the last quarter.
But Tom Stapleton's great day continued, dominating in the ruck and giving teammates such as Jack Caroll-Tape and Lachlan Highfield first use.
Tigers captain Josh Bryce sealed the win with a goal from the pocket, seeing Queanbeyan improve to four wins from five games this season. Pavese is pleased with how Stapleton's adapted to the new club.
"It's taken him a few weeks to get into it because he's new to the club, but he's really starting to find his feet now," Pavese said.
"I was really pleased with him; he was giving us first use and the fact that he stays around the stoppages is really important to us."
With an eight-day break ahead of the Tigers, Pavese will look to recovery before travelling to Greenway to take on Tuggeranong.
"We'll look to freshen up now after two wet games in a row," he said.
"We'll try to recover as best we can, and we won't be taking Tuggeranong for granted at all. They've improved really well, and Jimmy Rice is a great coach.
"We just have to keep winning because we want to finish as high as we can and give ourselves the best chance."
Ainslie now sit in fourth spot on the table with just one win to their name this season, with the Gungahlin Jets their next opponent.
