All NPL matches involving Yoogali (NPL2 and under-23's) and Griffith FC (under-13's, under-14's and under-16's) will be relocated to a central-west venue after NSW Health updated its COVID-19 guidelines for community sport last week.
NSW government advice strongly discourages overnight visits, carpooling and bus travel, which would force Griffith-based players to make an eight-hour road trip alone for each away match.
The ruling forced Capital Football to postpone last week's fixtures between Yoogali and ANU, as well as Griffith and Woden Valley.
Capital Football will confirm match fixtures and venues later this week, with Yoogali initially scheduled to host Narrabundah FC on Saturday. Griffith's round-seven matches against Canberra Croatia at Yarralumla will also be relocated.
"Capital Football is looking to determine an alternative venue for all matches involving Yoogali and Griffith that manages the travel that both clubs would be required to undertake," a Capital Football spokesperson said.

"As such, Capital Football is working towards moving all affected matches to a central west venue 2-3 hours from Canberra or Griffith.
"Additional information and guidance in relation to match schedules and venues will be announced later this week."
Yoogali president Paul Fisher says the club's presence in the NPL2 competition is essential going forward and hopes Capital Football finds a resolution quickly.
"We're happy Capital Football has done their best to make sure we stay in the competition," Fisher said.
"We're just hoping things now fast now, all we want to do is get on the park and let the players do what they love doing. We'd like to see out the season and put ourselves in a good position for next year."
Yoogali is undefeated on top of the NPL2 standings, while their under-23's side sit sixth with two wins and two losses.
It's the club's inaugural NPL season in Canberra and Fisher says they see it as a stepping stone for next year.
"It's good to play in this competition and we see it as an important moral builder for next season," Fisher said.
"We're doing great compared to where we though we would be.
"We're not getting carried away with it, we're taking it week by week. To quote the coach [Luke Santolin], we don't know the teams we're coming up against so we can't go in there thinking this is going to be an easy game. We treat each one like a final."
