NSW reported nine new locally acquired cases on Thursday, including five linked to the Sydney CBD cluster, and identified several locations in Sydney visited by positive cases.
It came as the ACT closed in on seven weeks without a new COVID-19 diagnosis.
"ACT Health will be in contact with NSW Health to monitor if any identified contacts were from the ACT," a statement read.
"In addition, we ask any ACT residents who have been contacted by NSW Health in relation to these locations to contact ACT Health via the COVID-19 Helpline on (02) 6207 7244, so we can provide advice and support."
NSW Health issued an alert for anyone who had attended City Tattersalls between 8am to 2pm on August 19, 21 or 23 to get tested and isolate for 14-days as they were considered close contacts of a COVID-19 case.
Other members of City Tattersalls should get tested if they have even the mildest symptoms.
People who attended the Active Dance class at 7.40pm at Virgin Gym Zetland are considered close contacts and should get tested and isolate at home for 14 days.
Other people who attended this gym between 7:30 - 10pm should get tested even if they have even the mildest symptoms.
A trainee bus driver who tested positive worked on August 20, 21 and 24 on routes in Blacktown, Rouse Hill and Mt Druitt.
NSW Health has published a list of bus routes and urged passengers to be alert for symptoms and get tested if they appear.
"advice on affected areas is changing regularly, so keep up to date with the latest advice," ACT Health said.
"Please be mindful and aware of how easily the virus spreads. We continue to ask Canberrans to reconsider their need for any unnecessary travel, particularly to areas with COVID-19. We also encourage Canberrans not to invite friends and family from Greater Sydney to the ACT at this time."
There have been 73,185 negative COVID-19 tests conducted to date.
