Spencer represented his beloved Raiders in the NRL 9s competition earlier this year after training with the club over the summer, and is determined to build on the experience after squaring off against the likes of Dane Gagai and Damien Cook.
"My main goal is to crack NRL and I'd love to do it here in Canberra where I'm from, where I've grown up," Spencer said.
"Being able to play in it [the NRL 9s] was pretty amazing, especially with the quality of boys that we went over with.
"I can't even put it into words. It was surreal just to get out there with the boys and everything we've been working hard for in preseason sort of tick off a goal of mine."
Before realising an NRL dream, Spencer is keen to help deliver the Rams a second Canberra Raiders Cup title in three years.
A 52-30 comeback win over the Queanbeyan Blues last weekend has ignited their campaign, which continues against the Raiders under-20s on Saturday.

"Our stats at the moment don't reflect how good of a side we have, I feel as though we've just clicked in this last game," Spencer said.
"I feel as though we're gonna give the Raiders under 20s a real run for their money and win in the competition."
The Rams host the young Raiders at Phillip on Saturday afternoon, while the Blues play Gungahlin.
