Landscapes

Nancy Sever Gallery has reopened with this exhibition of new works by Australian abstract expressionist Michael Taylor. He lives and works in the Monaro where he draws his inspiration from the natural world around him. He paints the landscapes and waterscapes of south-eastern New South Wales, capturing their rhythms and changing atmospheres. His paintings stand at the junction of landscape and abstraction, though they often appear to melt into total abstraction. Landscapes opens at the Nancy Sever Gallery on September 12, 2020 and runs until October 4. For further information please contact Nancy Sever at nancy.sever@iinet.net.au or phone 6182 0055. The Gallery is at Gorman Arts Centre B Hall, Batman Street, Braddon, and is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm. Nancy Sever also says that Canberra businessman Peter Barclay has invited the gallery to establish additional premises in the CBD. The City Walk | Gallery will open in late September at Level 1, 131 City Walk, Canberra City. nancysevergallery.com.au.
