The stadium will have repair works done next week and officials hope it will fix a persistent leak problem.
The roof leak has led to basketball matches being cancelled on short notice due to inadequate court conditions caused by heavy rain.
A dozen have been called off over three weekends this season, which was already delayed due to the coronavirus-enforced shutdown.
Basketball ACT hires the facility from the CSCC and they're working together to resolve the leakage issue.
CSCC chief executive officer Ian Mackay hoped next week's maintenance work would fix the leak to avoid an expensive repair.
"We're trying to deal closely with Basketball ACT who are our main customer and partner at the centre. They've been very understanding of the difficulties we've been through over the past six months," Mackay said.
"We tend to run the basketball stadium as a not-for-profit part of our club and use moneys from other parts of our club that are profitable to support it. Over the last six months that's been very difficult to do because we've been closed.
"We're hoping the repairs will fix the problem. If it doesn't then it's going to potentially be a very expensive issue for us. Hopefully it'll be good news and we'll patch it up."
The club's financial difficulty through the coronavirus crisis not only delayed the leakage fix, but also its long-term plan to renew the site.
CSCC has a vision to restore the stadium and the Tuggeranong hospitality venue, with plans expected to be finalised by Christmas.

"We're working through that at the moment but we're taking the blinkers off and thinking what it would look like if we were unencumbered by any constraints. It would be very exciting," Mackay said.
"Both the basketball stadium and hospitality venue are getting a little old. It could be potentially starting again, more than a refurbishment - it might be a total renewal.
"It's a new vision that continues to include basketball going forward. Our plan is to continue to offer basketball facilities, it's a requirement of the lease to do so. We've got no plans to not offer basketball at the Southern Cross Basketball Stadium."
